Cookie is a Welsh Corgi who woke up alone in the middle of nowhere. He doesn't know how he got there. He just knows he wants to go home.

Guide him across forests, roads, and city streets in a top-down journey inspired by the 1981 arcade classic Frogger. Move one cell at a time, dodge the traffic, cross the rivers, and find the one way out of each level.

Along the way:

  • Hand-crafted levels — every screen designed by hand, no procedural generation
  • No timer — take your time, learn the puzzle, fail and retry as often as you need
  • One exit per level — reach it and move on
  • A story told in pieces — through the animals Cookie meets, and what they leave unsaid (Not implemented yet)
Planned: 20+ levels across forest, road, and city biomes. The game currently ships with 4 levels. More are added regularly as I build in public.

Status: In development for the Retro Recreation 2026 jam. I'm building this one in public. Follow the devlogs to watch it grow from a grey square into a finished game.

Great game! I like Pico 8's art style, and the animations look good. For a limited system, I really enjoyed the game, and I like the red car sprites; that color is my favorite. Good game, you're really good! This game reminds me of another game; I can't remember the name, but it's about a jumping frog, if I'm not mistaken. But I liked the graphics more.

Good evening Parrasi,

Thank you for taking to write a post. It really makes me happy that you did like the game. It's not finished yet and it's a simple game but it's cool that you liked it. The "inspiration" for this game is Frogger. It has been released in 1981.

How about you? On what game are you working on?

Best,
Thomas

Hi, thanks for telling me the game's name. Regarding your question about the game I'm working on, I'm currently developing a game using an Aztec core (an Apple II game, if I'm not mistaken), but I think it's getting out of hand due to time constraints. I'll try to improve it. In my game, I've limited myself graphically to using a 32-color palette and 16 colors per sprite! I'm more of an artist than a programmer. When I release the game, I hope people will notify me about any bugs. In short, I'm making slow but steady progress.

Ok, I don't know this game. Can't wait for your first release.

Don't hesitate to release soon even though it's not perfect. It's always best for the mind.

:D, thanks friend!!!!
